Note to Self #3

Sometimes you just need to check out for a while. Pick up a book and escape this world. Write until your fingers are numb. Binge watch your favourite TV shows for hours on end and forget the rest of the world exists.
That is okay.
You need time to reset. You need time to let your brain spiral off with a billion different thoughts all at once. Days of not achieving anything. Of not checking social media and being a bad friend.
In those days, you’re a caterpillar in your cocoon. You reorganise your thoughts, refocus, and become a functioning human again. You’d combust if you didn’t give yourself those days.
Some days it’s okay if all you do is remember how to breath and pick yourself back up tomorrow.
